The Quest for Excellence Program (QEP) is Toormina High School’s signature initiative for High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE). This exciting program is designed to recognise, extend and support students with exceptional ability across all four NSW HPGE domains: Creative, Intellectual, Physical, and Social-Emotional.

QEP blends the NSW Curriculum with rich, challenging and fast-paced learning experiences that keep students motivated and inspired. Our aim is simple: to help talented students thrive by giving them the right level of challenge, support and opportunity.

In 2026, around 40 students have been selected through an application process and their participation in our HPGE Enrichment Day. These students form a dedicated learning cohort and are timetabled together for core subjects.
