Families of essential workers who need to send their children to school next week may continue to do so. However, for other parents you must continue to keep your child/children at home until your child’s/children’s allocated day on or after the 11th May 2020. Students MUST come ONLY on their allocated day after Monday 11 May 2020.
Students who have borrowed a laptop MUST bring this device with them to school on their allocated day in its protective case to use at school on the day.
I appreciate how difficult this has been for all parents and students. We are in the process of establishing strategies to improve your child’s safety at school as we prepare for their return on 11 May 2020. Hand sanitiser is available for students use in every classroom. Hand wash is available in student toilets. Additional cleaning of high contact areas is underway.
I encourage you to send your child to school on their allocated day. If you have a blended family with different surnames, we will contact you to discuss which day to send all of the students to school together.
Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 Assessment Tasks due this term will be due and assessable, so students should receive notifications and submission dates for assessments in line with our school policies. Students need to complete these tasks. Year 12 Assessments Tasks in Term 2 remain cancelled; however, I encourage all students to complete all work as this will assist them in their preparation for the HSC.
If you pick up and drop your child to school, please remember that Parents are required to remain in the vehicle at all times. If you need to come into the school for any reason, please contact the school to arrange an appointment time.
